Privacy Notice

This privacy notice has been prepared under Article 10 of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK") to inform you about the personal data processed through the akalphukuk.com.tr website. The Turkish version of this notice prevails.

2. Personal Data Processed

  • Identity and contact data: name, phone number and e-mail address you enter in the contact form.
  • Request data: the subject you select and the information you choose to share in your message.
  • Security data: technical records created during your visit, such as IP address, browser information and session cookies.

Please do not share special categories of personal data (health, criminal convictions, religion, ethnic origin, etc.) in the contact form. Such information is only collected during a meeting and where the necessary legal conditions are met.

3. Purposes of Processing

  • To respond to your request and contact you,
  • To assess which practice area your request relates to,
  • To ensure the website works securely and correctly,
  • To fulfil legal obligations and respond to requests from authorised bodies.

4. Legal Grounds and Method of Collection

Your personal data is collected electronically through the contact form and technical records on the website, and processed on the following legal grounds under Article 5(2) of the KVKK:

  • (c): it is directly related to the establishment or performance of a contract,
  • (ç): it is necessary for the data controller to fulfil its legal obligation,
  • (f): it is necessary for the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided that your fundamental rights and freedoms are not harmed.

5. Transfers

Your personal data is not shared with third parties for marketing purposes. It may only be shared, limited to the purposes above, with:

  • Business partners providing hosting, infrastructure and e-mail services for the website. Their servers may be located abroad; in that case the transfer is made in accordance with Article 9 of the KVKK.
  • Public authorities legally authorised to request it.

6. Retention Period

Contact form records are kept for as long as needed to handle your request and for the periods required by the applicable legislation. After that they are deleted, destroyed or anonymised.

7. Your Rights

Under Article 11 of the KVKK, you can apply to the data controller to:

  • Learn whether your personal data is processed and, if so, request information about it,
  • Learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly,
  • Know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom it is transferred,
  • Request correction if it is incomplete or inaccurate, and deletion or destruction under the conditions of Article 7 of the KVKK,
  • Request that these actions be notified to the third parties to whom the data was transferred,
  • Object to a result against you arising exclusively from automated analysis,
  • Claim compensation for damages caused by unlawful processing.

You can send your application in writing to the address above or to avukat@akalphukuk.com.tr, in accordance with the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller. Your application will be answered free of charge within 30 days at the latest.
